I remember when I was running Ubuntu that when I’d go to get my updates it would sometimes take forever. Lifehacker has an article discussing how you can use alternate update addresses to speed this process up. Go and check it out here.
Not everyone knows this but more and more new PC’s are coming shipped with “bloatware”. Bloatware is software that isn’t necessary and often hogs your system’s resouces. But how can you tell if a piece of software is “bloatware” or not? With the help of the PC DeCrapifier you can easily remove the uncessary software. Roku just announced a box that hooks up to your HDTV and internet connection that will stream “Watch It Now” movies to your home. This is absolutely amazing. I already ordered one. Check out Gizmodo’s review here.
