This week Little Billy and I were at work running around doing IT stuff and we stopped off in my old stomping grounds of Hill Hall. Its been about a two years since I’ve stopped by my old room and it was quite a feeling to see the place after all this time…
The room was virtually the same as it has always been. As I looked at the furniture and walls I realized that 1985 and I never made a lasting mark in our room to alert future generations that this was our place. That upset me. I felt we should have done something that would have withstood the test of time so that future A212ers would have something to hold up and worship as a diety. As I opened the door to my old closet there was one thing left that I had forgot about…The hook that I installed on the inside door to hang my towel from after my showers. So at least there was something there…
I know a lot of you who graduated last year have been talking about how much you miss college. How you’re going to miss this and that. While I sympothize with you I have one piece of advice for all of you: MOVE THE FUCK OUT OF YOUR PARENT’S HOUSE! Real life can be just like College EVERYDAY but you first have to fly away from the nest. Follow my guide for life and you too will be successful…
Next week I return to Graduate Education. Not excited about that. I also will be working a lot. So you might not hear from me much. But once the dust settles I will check in…
