W.O.W.

Tom & Steven

WOW Steven…

So Crystal and I partook in one of the biggest movies to hit theatres this summer, War of the Worlds. I must say this film was very good. It was not excellent by any means by it was very good. Being that 99.7543% of you know the plot and outcome of the story I will for go the normal procedure on this one and go right for the jugular…

One thing that stands out about this movie is that it is unrelentless in its portrayal of the tragedy and destruction that goes with a full on alien invasion. Steven did not hold back here and a lot of the imagery in this film is very powerful and might not be suitable for everyone. Halfway through the movie Crystal turned to me and says, “I’m really terrified…”. While I did not experience the level of terror she did the movie is definatly a tense film that keeps you on edge throughout the whole thing. However I did have two problems with the movie one was a scene that takes place in the basement of a house and I felt that the scene ran way too long. The other complaint I had was that the end of the movie was your typical Speilberg ending. I did not think it fit in with the movie really but it did not ruin the movie for me. Tom Cruise however did not fall victim to the crappy ending. He stayed tough throughout the whole film and proved once again that he is as good as an actor as we all think he is…

So by all means go and see this movie and let me know what you think because I’m curious…

Now that we’re in our War of the Worlds mood I thought I would share some interesting things that I came across while researching for this post:

Xact Sirius

Siriusly I want this…

So I added some new music on the front page to the “Worlds Collide” picture. Keep your ears open for that. Its pretty amazing…

The Bullshit levels in the SeanPiotrowski.net circle of trust are at an all time high. I think this is one of the few times I am sort of actually enjoying it in a sick and twisted way…

MS Dinos

Apparently all of the geeks on the internet are ripping Microsoft’s new ad campaign for Office 2003 a new asshole. I like it. The geeks claim that Microsoft is calling their customers who use Office 97 or Office 2000 Dinosaurs. Whatever happened to just plain old fun? I think its funny seeing People with Dinosaur heads in the office enviroment. Imagine if you will going to work one day and seeing your boss in a T-Rex head. That to me is just hilarious. I think its a good ad campaign and some clever marketing. There was even reports of REAL PEOPLE in Dinosaur heads handing out free copies of the Wall Street Journal the day the Ad Campaign began. SO CLEVER! I figure in this day and age if we are going to be living in a society that is going to be getting more and more commercialized why not demand cleverness out of the commercials and ads we are going to see anyway? I know I’m a Microsoft Fan Boy but I dunno I think it was really cool. The Dinosaurs remind me of those Dinosaurs toys from the 80’s called Definitely Dinosaurs

Oasis pictures were developed and there are some real gems. Problem is Wal-Mart wasn’t able to put them on CD so I have to scan them adding further delay to you seeing them…

PSP Delicious now that I can play NES and Genesis Games on it :-D

Till next time… “Bite it You Scum!”

The Miracle

Although not the Lord Jesus, Queen apparently has performed their own miracles…

American Innovation is something that makes me proud to be an American. Today I give you an amazing example of American Innovation. This innovation: Is it possible to make cheap shitty vodka drinkable using a Brita Water Filter?

Apparently the answer is a resounding YES! To read all about this experiment and its results click the following: Oh My God It Burns!

Pictures being developed as we speak…

Till next time… “Everything in its right place…”

Human?

Today for the first time in my entire life I had to confirm wether or not I was infact human. This happened while I was trying to leave my friend Turbo a comment about his successes in the world of Solar Boating. I did not know if I should have been offended or not. I think I was offended.

Pictures of Oasis and the weekend tomorrow or Wednesday. I’m in the process of getting the photos developed and digitally processed.

Someone please buy me this:
The Midnight Hour

Till next time… “Hope there is time to roam…”
