Alf

10 years later we are finally reunited…

So I came home from work yesterday and found a giant white box on my steps. You see Mr. Burg my old neighbor downstairs like to bring my packages in from outside and place them on the steps for me. Its a nice thing and I appreciate that he does it. Anyway the box was on my steps and I brought it inside and I knew immediatly what it was. I opened it up and ALF WAS INSIDE! I squeezed him to make him talk and he sounded like Satan himself. His battery needed to be replaced. So I took care of that and now he is in perfect working order…

My Co-worker Ryan has resigned. I am not alone in the world at Rider University. My most trusted confidant has gone on to sell Luxury Office Furniture as the Vice President of Boomerang. It sucks but what are you going to do…

Going to NYC to see 1985 this weekend. I’m looking forward to that. Its been a long time since I’ve seen him…

On the school front I kicked it with Art Taylor today. He’s a good man. I’ve decided that him and Dr. McCall should go on the road together singing duets. It would be a pretty fucking great show if you ask me. I start grad school soon. I’m enrolled in my classes. Now I have to buy books. Here we go again…

You’ll hear from me again soon…

Till next time…”All of my life I’ve been surfing”

The Greatest Television Show of ALL TIME and the biggest piece of my childhood, next to He-man, has come home to me. FINALLY…

So whats it been like another month? I dunno who cares. I’m fucking writing so be happy. Fun things to talk about today lets get down to it:

First off Alf Season One has been released on DVD for the first time ever. You must be saying, “Sean big deal. Its another DVD for you to add to your whoreish DVD collection”. To that I say take a seat my friend for about you’re going to be allowed into the past of SeanPiotrowski. You see when I was 5 years old Alf aired for the first time. I remember my father making a point of me watching it and I remember the first episode so vividly and I have for my entire life. Alf to me was my first exposure to comedy as a young lad. I am sure by the ripe old age of 5 that I had allready developed a sense of comedic timing but I am almost positive that it was Alf who honed it into the craft that I have mastered today. Alf was everything to me. I loved the show more than anything on television at the time. My love for Alf had grown so large that my father over the course of two months made me a 4 hour Alf tape with all of the commercials edited out. This my friends was my the core of my daily routine as a child. I watched all 4 hours of this tape everyday for years. I think its safe to say I watched this thing till I was like 10 on a daily basis. Now I can safely tell you that all of these episodes on this tape were etched into my brain forever, so etched that I’d even go so far as to say that they have been hardwired into my brain and will be passed on via DNA to my children. As my love for Alf continued on past my 6th birthday my love for Alf grew, as mentioned before. I had an Alf birthday party one year complete with Alf cake, if I remember correctly. Then came the pinnacle of my Alf-ness my Aunt Debbie and Uncle Mike back in 1986 won me my very own TALKING ALF DOLL on the boardwalk. This Doll was my man. I used to push his stomach over and over and over having him repeat his 10 phrases until I was blue in the face and it never got old. It eventually got so bad that the battery was so dead that Alf spoke in a slow demonic voice for about two years because I refused to replace the batteries. (You see you needed a screw driver to open up the talk box to fix the battery. Something I refused to do for some reason) Eventually Alf’s talk box died and I was forced to throw away the talk box because the battery acid had rusted out all of the innerworkings of the box so bad that it was unusable at this point. Eventually my mom made me give up my Alf doll at around 12 or 13 years old. I think I was out of the Alf thing by this point and gave him up without a fight. Now here it is 2004. I haven’t really though much about the old Alfster until I heard he was coming out on DVD. I actually debated for a while on if I should purchase the DVD set but once I saw it was only $30 at Best Buy I couldn’t pass it up. Boy am I glad I did so because Alf is fucking genius! I thought at the most I would find this show few of fond fond memories and would only fulfill some nostalgia in me. Yea I was wrong. Alf is really fucking funny. I went on 7 episode Alf binges as I waded through all 26 episodes over the 4 DVDs. I found myself laughing uncontrolably and was extremely satisfied in my decision to reunite myself with the wondeful world of Alf. I also purchased this (CLICK!). Its the same exact Alf Doll I had when I was a kid. I will be reunited with the old guy and he will share a place on my bed next to my good friends Hamilton the bear, Yellow Duck #1, and talking Gollum. I am anxiously awaiting his arrival and hope he doesn’t crash into the roof of my Apartment…

So I was accepted to Rider University’s Masters of Business Administration program and guess what?! I had 6 classes waived! THATS 18 CREDITS! It was pretty amazing so I only have to go for 5 semesters taking two classes each. Shouldn’t be that bad, who am I kidding though I have to take CALCULUS! HAHAHA…

I’ve also gone full time at the University. From now on I’ll be there 40 hours a week and will be making no longer the 80% of my salary that I was making but NOW I’ll be making 100%!! HAHA…

Whatever happened to Willa Ford? Willa even though some people call you the poor man’s Britney Spears I still “Wanna Be Bad Wit Ya Baby”. Take note folks thats the lamest SP.NET has ever been…

You know what was just on? The E! True Hollywood Story: The Last Days of Elvis. If I’ve said it once I’ll say it a 1000 times. This is THE MOST ENTERTAINING TWO HOURS OF TELEVISION EVER MADE! 1985 will back me up on that. If you haven’t seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it…

I’m gonna go…

Till next time…”Cue the Imperial March”

Yesterday’s excitement…

Powder scare at Rider University: Suspicious substance just cracker crumbs

PETE DALY , Staff Writer 08/11/2004

A suspicious letter found at Rider University yesterday was initially thought to contain a suspicious white powder, butinstead turned out to contain a harmless food product, possibly crackers, police said.

According to investigators, the powdery substance initially fell out of an envelope which someone had opened up inside the university?s student center late Tuesday morning.

Still, due to the recent terror scares, state police were initially called to the scene, and taking no chances, they opted to bring in the local Haz-Mat team to cordon off the building.

For several hours, about 50 students sat quarantined as investigators continued to analyze the substance, which was later tentatively identified as cracker crumbs, said Rider University spokesperson Earle Rommel.

The situation was also exacerbated by a suspicious note which was delivered to the Career Services Center, school officials said.

The Bart Luedeke Center, one of Rider?s largest building, was shut down temporarily as investigators continued to investigate.

One person reportedly came into contact with the crumbled crackers and was initially looked over by paramedics to assure his continued health.

Mail is commonly delivered to the career center, where students can seek resume help, look for jobs and internships and get information about graduate schools, according to the university?s Web site.

The summer class schedule will not be interrupted or postponed as a result of the investigation into the incident, Rommel said, because buildings that were unaffected will remain open.

The university treated the incident as a serious threat and the Luedeke center and nearby General Services Building, which houses the Safety and Security officers? station, were still shut down last night.

“We do know at some point the state police believed it was a suspicious substance,” Rommel said.

“The buildings remain closed with the ongoing investigation,” Rommel said. “To ensure the safety of our employees, the university is cooperating fully with authorities until we determine everything is O.K.”

Authorities flocked to the Lawrenceville Road campus yesterday and remained there early Tuesday night, a response that echoes the area?s fears of letters laced with chemical or biological weapons since four letters containing anthrax were sent through Hamilton?s post office in fall 2001.

Killer anthrax-laced letters were passed through the John K. Rafferty General Mail Postal Facility in Hamilton, the Brentwood facility in Washington, D.C. and a Senate office building.

Five people were killed and 17 became ill as a result of anthrax exposure. The cleanup costs for the Hamilton and other contaminated facilities reached more than $240 million.

Three years later, the anthrax attacks have not dissipated from public memory.

One week ago, federal authorities pored through the Dover Township summer home of Dr. Kenneth Berry, a “person of interest” in the unresolved anthrax attacks.

Berry, a doctor and weapons of mass destruction expert who was a consultant to the U.S. Department of Defense, decried the lack of preparation among medical personnel and first responders in the event of a chemical or biological attack leading up to 2001.

He has denied involvement with the anthrax letters.

Drinking with Darth Maul makes anything taste better…

“I’m a scientist, I do Science.” Hello one and all I return. I’m happy to know that many of you were deeply touched by my tribute to the days of 404. Some words about 404:

Jay Eagan: “I just wanted to let u know..i watch ur movie almost every day its glorious. I saw things on there that i never knew i did. i just wanted to let u know…that the days of 404 have changed my life and have helped make me who i am today.”

I’m glad we could have had such a profound affect on a man such as Mr. Eagan. Feel free all of you to leave your comments below sharing your thoughts and memories of 404…

I guess the next logical movie creation for me would be some sort of Fictional short film with actual moving pictures? Why yes it is. I’ve been thinking about it for a while and I have an idea where I’m going…

So what has been going on in the world as of late? I took my GMATs finally. Not an easy test. I rocked out a hot verbal score and got a shitty fuckin math score. I rocked out the 8th percentile for that one. Meaning 92% of the people who take the GMAT did better then me at math. But surprisingly I scored 40 points higher then I needed to get into Rider University’s graduate program. In the mean time I’m still waiting to hear from them in reguards to my acceptance…

So Doom 3 has come out. Can I say that it is adding more undue stress to my life on a daily basis and I love it? I swear it has you on edge the whole time, its nuts. You never know what the fuck is gonna jump out of the shadows or whats coming next. It is a pure masterpiece. If you can run the damn thing you should get the damn thing…

A big piece of dissapointing news was released today: Opie and Anthony have gone to XM. After months of rumors and speculation all leading to them arriving at Sirius it all came to an end today as it was annoucned that they will be on XM. As a Sirius fan and investor I am saddened by this. Lets hope Sirius can land Howard at some point soon…

At work today I kicked my boss a bunch of times when he pissed me off. I guess this is sort of becoming a tradition now. Last year I kneed him in the balls and this year I kicked him like 15 times in the thigh and messed up his wedding ring. Maybe I can get used to this. Otherwise on the work front, I am kicking ass and taking names later. I am currently exceling in all aspects of my job and people are noticing. I am now offically full time. Working 40 hours a week. There is talk of expanding the laptop program which could mean growth for me in my job. YEAH! I’ve also made the decision that come september I’m going to rock a shirt and tie to work along with my skate shoes. No dress shoes for me. True SeanPiotrowski style…

Well I think that is enough for now…

Till next time…”Are you gonna drop the bomb or not?”
